Monday Sufi Poetry Share

As tomorrow is a day when millions set their intention on the celebration of love and my own heart is glowing so brightly, it seems fitting that this Monday's theme be Love.
Enjoy this collection of poems, may your own heart swell with the
 Bliss of Oneness.

The Subject Tonight is Love - Hafiz
The subject tonight is Love
And for tomorrow night as well.
As a matter of fact
I know of no better topic
For us to discuss
Until we all
Die!

untitled - Nizar Qabbani
My lover asks me:
"What is the difference between me and the sky?"
The difference, my love,
Is that when you laugh,
I forget the sky.

Some Kiss We Want - Rumi
There is some kiss we want with
our whole lives, the touch of

spirit on the body. Seawater
begs the pearl to break its shell.

And the lily, how passionately
it needs some wild darling! At

night, I open the window and ask
the moon to come and press its

face against mine. Breathe into
me. Close the language-door and

open the love window.The moon
won't use the door, only the
window.

The Day Sky - Hafiz
Let us be like
Two falling stars in the day sky.

Let no one know of our sublime beauty
As we hold hands with God
And burn

Into a sacred existence that defies -
That surpassess

Every description of ecstasy.
