FDA New Food Label: A Public Health Disaster

Today the FDA released their new and updated food label. When asked why they are updating the nutritional facts food label, the FDA claims in the FAQ section  "The current label is more than 20 years old. In order to make sure consumers have access to more recent and accurate nutrition information about the foods they are eating, it’s time to make changes to the Nutrition Facts label. The changes announced today are based on updated scientific information, new nutrition and public health research, more recent dietary recommendations from expert groups, and input from the public." (see link below) Unfortunately, the resulting food label is not in line with the FDA's claims. I ask you to click the link below to the FDA's own infographic and examine the following:

FDA Claim: "Food Serving Sizes Get A Reality Check"
Actual Change: Both A 12 and 20 ounce bottle of Soda, I.E. SUGAR WATER, are now  listed as 1 serving.

NOW, if you really want to help yourself and your family eat better, consider following the advice of the United Nation's World Health Organization(WHO), not the FDA. The FDA has been under lobbying and political pressure by the Food Industries for decades. The recommend diet by the WHO can be found here:
