We Are Whole and Complete ~*~Release and Let Go

Mapping A New Reality
( by Siobhan Mac Mahon 2017)

When all the old paths
have been concreted over,
the way forgotten,

when words shape-shift
beneath your feet,
spelling another reality,

when you don't know
what to pray for anymore,
let alone to whom- then
you must abandon

the broken compasses,
burn the man-made maps
and head for home-

follow the knowing
in your bones, the aching
of your heart,

the song-line of your body.

The sage Dattatreya, when speaking to his student Parasurama of the teachings of the Goddess said,
"Association with the wise leads to Self inquiry. Inquiry is not simply asking questions like
'Who am I?',
'What is the cause of the universe?',
'Why am I suffering?'
and waiting or praying for an answer.
It is a process of discrimination, comparing the ego with the Self, accepting the knowledge that you are whole and complete and allowing it to percolate into every aspect of your being until the mind is transformed and your true feelings and actions harmonize with the Truth."
"...People under the spell of ignorance think of themselves as limited; inadequate, incomplete beings. Because this is merely an ill-considered opinion and not a fact, they suffer. The more they cling to this notion the more disturbed they become, until everything they do reinforces this belief. A change of habits, devotional practice, meditation, or intellectually asking, 'Who am I?' will not remove this fundamental error.
But changing the platform from which you view yourself as adequate, whole and complete will cause your thought and feeling life to gradually shift and eventually synchronize with your real nature."

Three Poems by Lalla Ded
(She was recognized as a Saint in Kashmir, in the 14th century)
***

When the mirror of my consciousness became clear,
I saw that my family and others I
love are the same as me.

The "you" and "I" thought
does not occur.
The entire world is God.

***

Three things about grinding grain:

Once you start the mill turning,
it easily keeps its momentum.

Only the hub knows
the secret of milling.

When fine flour appears by the millstone,
grist will find its own way
into the mill yard.

***

Enlightenment absorbs this universe of qualities.
When that merging occurs, there is nothing but God. This is the only doctrine.

There is no word for it, no mind
to understand it with, no categories
of transcendence or non-transcendence,
no vow of silence, no mystical attitude

There is no Shiva and no Shakti
in enlightenment, and if there is something that remains, that whatever-it-is
is the only teaching.

May we all find our way out of the Mind, and into the Heart, and allow the Truth of our Being to shine.

Be the Light
Be the Love
Be Yourself
